Description of the procurement
UL Global of University of Limerick (UL) request a service comprising an online platform that connects UL Offer-Holders (access restricted to same) with peer Offer-Holders current students, staff and alumni. Participants obtain relevant UL/Limerick/Ireland information disseminated by UL Global, and converse with their peers. Group discussions are filtered by Home Country, Programme of Study, etc. Contributions are also made from existing UL Student Ambassadors who have experience of UL as an International student, and content is monitored by UL staff to ensure accuracy of message. A matching function is also required to connect potential students with filtered groups e.g. Ambassadors. The platform will also offer a similar 'reversed' facility which connects students from UL (and other Irish universities) who are due to study abroad e.g. via Erasmus/Exchange; peers can connect and converse on institutions abroad, cities, countries, programmes of study, etc. This represents a cohort of approx. 600 students every year. Features of the platform include news stories, video content, detailed phased support through onboarding process into UL, interactive maps, public and private chat facilities. The supplier will provide 1 piece of peer promotional content per month that will actively engage with prospects and offer holders. The service provider will be responsible for the community management and administration of approximately 150 UL advocates, ambassadors and alumni. The service provided by the successful tenderer will be made available to any Department of the University of Limerick that requires the service.
