Construction of a new split-level, three storey, standalone extension, with associated siteworks, West of the existing school at St. Brogan’s College, Macroom Road, Kilbrogan, Bandon, Co. Cork. The extension is designed to accommodate specialist teaching rooms, including 3 science laboratories, an art room, home economics, as well as 4 classrooms and ancillary accommodation. This development includes an ESB substation, the relocation of existing onsite carparking and pedestrian gate attached to vehicular entrance, together with a new bus and car set-down area, set-back from the public road. This application applies also for permission to temporarily enlarge the existing South-eastern gate, to provide temporary vehicular construction access, for the duration of construction. The gross floor space of the existing building is approx. 5,016 sqm. The gross floor space of the proposed works is approx. 1,756 sqm. This is a Type 3 project.
