Description of the procurement

This Prior Information Notice is to create market awareness, elicit market insights and ascertain market appetite for the main and reserved specialists’ packages on the Old Library Redevelopment Project. Trinity College Dublin is undertaking preliminary market consultations as outlined under Article 40 of Directive 2014/24/EU. The University is alerting the market of these future procurement opportunities. It is hoped that parties will provide constructive feedback and help inform Trinity's preferred procurement and contract strategy.
Through the delivery of the proposed project, Trinity's aims will be to protect, conserve, and enhance the Old Library and its collections for its fourth century. This will be achieved through a combination of careful conservation of the building fabric and strategic interventions to improve fire protection, environmental controls, and accessible circulation for a variety of users.
Parties interested in participating in this process should register their interest on www.etenders.gov.ie, download, complete and return the questionnaire. A brief descriptive document together with a questionnaire has been provided. All Parties are invited to submit responses to the questionnaire via the portal by 12:00 on 05 September 2022. As part of this process, the University may hold one-to-one discussions with selected parties, as practical on dates to be advised.
The final detail of any potential procurement procedures will be influenced by a number of factors including the outcome of this PIN process. It is currently considered likely that should Trinity decide to proceed with a formal procedure the process will commence in Q3 2022. However, no decisions or approvals have been made to date.
