Tenders are sought for the Supply, Delivery & Installation of a Structural Test Rig for MaREI, University College Cork (UCC). A rig capable of testing samples (continuous circular pipe section between 100 and 500mm Outer Diameter in the first instance, but adaptable to non-standard shapes and larger cross-sectional discontinuities up to 1m to accommodate testing of joints and intermediate connections) in bending, torsion, and axial tension and in combinations of these modes. The capability of this rig may include an optional dynamic mode to investigate in-situ performance under various environmental and fatigue load cases (i.e., mimicking the dynamic motions experienced by pipes in a subsea environment).
