Short description

The scope of these Services is to support the Authority’s transport planning and inform investment priorities. The Authority maintains a suite of multi-modal transport models covering the Republic of Ireland. A technical summary of the Regional Modelling System (RMS), describing its structure, components, software used and details of the most recent update undertaken between 2017 and 2020, is being issued in conjunction with these Instructions for information purposes only.
The Authority is seeking a Service Provider to support its internal transport modelling team in the development, maintenance and use of the RMS and any other transport models that the Authority may develop, and to provide general modelling services and undertake other activities related to transport modelling.

Additional information

The contracting authority will not be responsible for any costs, charges or expenses incurred by candidates or tenderers relating to this contract award procedure irrespective of the outcome of the competition, or if the competition is postponed or cancelled. All costs incurred by interested parties in participating in this competition must be borne by them.
Any contract award will be subject to a number of preconditions, including production of a current tax clearance certificate from the Revenue Commissioners in Ireland. The contracting authority may terminate this competition (or any part thereof), change the basis of and the procedures for the bidding process, at any time, or procure the project by alternative means if it appears that the project can thereby be more advantageously procured. The most economically advantageous or any tender will not automatically be accepted.
The value of the contract specified in Section V.2.4) represents the estimated total value of the contract for the maximum contract duration of 4 years.
