Short description

Waterways Ireland intends to establish a single-party framework agreement for the provision of ‘in house’ legal services to support the delivery of its activities. The services will require the presence, of both a solicitor and a legal assistant, to work 'in-house' at Waterways Irelands’ Head Quarters in Enniskillen on a routine basis to provide all property associated legal services. The service provider will also advise Waterways Ireland and/or seek the opinion of legal counsel as required, on all relevant legislation or issues pertaining to its operations and functions, including general business and commercial legislation, health and safety legislation, Irish legislation relating to public sector bodies such as environmental and planning Law, the Organisation’s own legislative basis and navigation Bye Law.

Description of the procurement

Waterways Ireland intends to establish a single-party framework agreement for the provision of ‘in house’ legal services to support the delivery of its activities. The services will require the presence, of both a solicitor and a legal assistant, to work 'in-house' at Waterways Irelands’ Head Quarters in Enniskillen on a routine basis to provide all property associated legal services for acquisitions / disposals, conveyance, leases, licences, easements, property related civil litigation, compulsory purchase orders, title issues etc. A good working knowledge of the Landlord and Tenant legislation in Southern Ireland is essential. The service provider will also advise Waterways Ireland and/or seek the opinion of legal counsel as required, on all relevant legislation or issues pertaining to its operations and functions, including general business and commercial legislation, health and safety legislation, Irish legislation relating to public sector bodies such as environmental and planning Law, the Organisation’s own legislative basis and navigation Bye Laws.
