Short description
The project comprises the construction of a 2 storey Primary School with an SEN unit of total internal floor area of 2038sqm, with substantial site works and a link footpath to the core of the village of Carrabane to the southwest. The footpath works are outside the site of possession and all of those works will require a detailed risk assessment and method statement for agreement between the Employer, Local Authority and adjoining affected landowners. The entire works as proposed are to be carried out as a single contract and in one phase.
The site is located on the L3114 road, adjacent and to the north of Kilconieron GAA Club, and adjacent to the site for the future Community Centre and a large Ring Fort (GA097, 063).
The site is historic Coillte woodland, the bulk of which is to be cleared.
