Short description

The Office of the Government Chief Information Officer (OGCIO) is a division of the Department of Public Expenditure and Reform and is tasked with delivering the Government’s Public Service ICT Strategy.
OGCIO BTS is currently expanding with more departments coming online for support through the range of services we offer. Fixed Voices and VOIP is one of the offerings currently available to existing and new departments we support. By the end of 2021 OGCIO will be supporting departments with a staff count of over 4,000. It is expected to raise to 15,000 staff over the duration of this contract. We require a carrier who can grow with us and scale up the number of accounts efficiently as we expand over the lifetime of this contract.

Description of the procurement

The Office of the Government Chief Information Officer (OGCIO) is a division of the Department of Public Expenditure and Reform and is tasked with delivering the Government’s Public Service ICT Strategy. The OGCIO has a wide-ranging remit in addition to delivery of the Government Public Service ICT Strategy. The OGCIO is also responsible for providing ICT Services to a number of Government Departments, these services include the private Government Network, Public Service ICT policy, approval of major ICT expenditure across the wider civil and public service, and engaging with the EU on the Government Action Plan. An 18 Step Action Plan sets out a range of projects and programmes which will deliver the Public Service ICT Strategy including Build To Share (BTS) Infrastructure Initiatives. The Service Delivery Unit (SDU) in the OGCIO is responsible for delivering these central BTS Infrastructure initiatives and services to Government Departments and Public Service Bodies.
The goods/services under this agreement will be drawn down by the OGCIO for services provided by the OGCIO to Government Departments/Public Service Bodies availing of the OGCIO’s Build To Share initiatives.
