The Irish Defence Forces on behalf of the Minister for Defence (the “Contracting Authority”) invites tenders (“Tenders”) to this request for tenders (“RFT”) from economic operators (“Tenderers”) for the provision of the goods as described in Appendix 1 to this RFT (the “Goods”).

Description of the procurement
The Irish Defence Forces on behalf of the Minister for Defence (the “Contracting Authority”) invites tenders (“Tenders”) to this request for tenders (“RFT”) from economic operators (“Tenderers”) for the provision of the goods as described in Appendix 1 to this RFT (the “Goods”).
1.2 In summary, the Goods comprise:

Aluminium Infantry Target (LFTT) size 980mm x 480mm
Aluminium Infantry Target (LFTT) size 1200mm x 480mm
Aluminium Infantry Target (ETR) size 980mm x 500mm
Aluminium Infantry Target (ETR) size 1270mm x 500mm
Targets supplied will be compatible with the SAAB and Theissen target systems in use in the Defence
This public procurement competition (the “Competition”) will be conducted in accordance with the open procedure under the European Union (Award of Public Authority Contracts) Regulations 2016 (Statutory Instrument 284 of 2016) (the “Regulations”). Any contract that may result from this Competition (the “Goods Contract”) will be issued as a Framework Agreement for a term of 3 years (“the Term”).
1.4 The framework agreement may be extended for one (1) further 12 month period.
1.5 The Contracting Authority estimates that the expenditure on the Goods to be covered by the proposed contract may amount to some €200,000 (excl. VAT) over the Term and any possible extensions. Tenderers must understand that this figure is an estimate only based on current and future expected usage.
Price is not the only award criterion and all criteria are stated only in the procurement documents
