Description of the procurement

An Post is seeking suitably qualified service providers who have the ability to provide Custom Brokerage Services (Inbound and Outbound) for road, air and sea transportation:
1. Outbound international custom clearance from ROI to the UK and to any other non-EU country
2. Inbound international custom clearance into the UK from ROI and from any other non-EU country
3. Outbound international custom clearance from the UK to ROI and to any other non-EU country
4. Inbound international custom clearance from the UK and from any other non-EU country into Ireland
Online shoppers value most cost, speed and convenience. As a result, the custom clearance solution needs to support these consumer’s preferences.
This is highly complex and dynamic custom clearance environment whereby a typical shipment will contain thousands of different commodity codes including some restricted products. A typical road haulage load will contain up to 5000 different commodity codes.
Interested parties should be familiar with processing large amount of individual items across multiple custom declarations with the ability and custom brokerage expertise to support AN POST customers base of ecommerce retailers and 3PLs.
