Description of the procurement

Iarnrod Eireann (IE) is seeking to establish a single supplier framework agreement for the manufacture, supply, testing and delivery of fully fitted trackside location case equipment to sites throughout the IÉ rail network.
Trackside signalling enclosure equipment, also known as location case equipment, is a core part of the IÉ signalling system and includes equipment cases, equipment racks, re-locatable buildings and enclosures for power supply equipment, which must be located adjacent to the tracks. There are currently approx. 2,500 location cases and equipment racks located throughout the network.
IÉ is now seeking to now to establish a single supplier framework agreement for the supply of location case equipment required over the next 8 years (5 +1+1+1). This equipment will be used to support the roll out of any future signalling projects, which seek to extend, upgrade or enhance the existing network infrastructure, including but not limited to the Train Protection System (TPS) Project.
The scope of requirements under the proposed agreement shall include the manufacture, supply, testing and delivery of fully fitted trackside location case equipment to sites throughout the IÉ rail network. It is proposed that some of the equipment to be installed within the cases may be provided free issue by IÉ to the location case supplier, who will be responsible for all integration, wiring, factory testing and certification of the cases. The installation of these location cases on site will be undertaken separately and outside of this agreement.
In order to support the delivery of the IÉ TPS project to house various trackside equipment that will be located at multiple sites along the rail infrastructure network, there is an estimated requirement for the supply of approximately 2150 No. lineside location cases of various sizes.
Interested applicants are required to download, complete and return the Pre Qualification Questionnaire attached to this notice, in strict accordance with the instructions provided.
