Short description

Beaumont Hospital currently runs a suite of twelve operating theatres that carry out major surgical procedures across a variety of surgical specialties. In order to maintain the highest quality of care, the Contracting Authority intends to conduct a theatre pendant replacement programme. The intention is to upgrade the theatre pendant services within the theatres to include two medical pendants per theatre, i.e. one no. anaesthetic pendant and one no. surgical pendant. The replacement programme shall comprise a ‘turnkey’ project where the successful tenderer will assume full responsibility for all elements of the installation.

Description of the procurement

Beaumont Hospital currently runs a suite of twelve operating theatres that carry out major surgical procedures across a variety of surgical specialties. In order to maintain the highest quality of care, the Contracting Authority intends to conduct a theatre pendant replacement program. The replacement programme shall comprise a ‘turnkey’ project where the successful tenderer will assume full responsibility for all elements of the installation. In this regard, the successful tenderer shall be responsible for matters such as all mechanical works, all electrical works, all civil and structural works, life safety, fire sealing and lead lining works, while ensuring and safeguarding full compliance with all relevant IS Standards and HTM Guidelines. A BIM model of proposed installations will form part of the project remit to ensure end-user satisfaction in advance of works commencing.
