Short description

CÚRAM is the Science Foundation Ireland funded Centre for Research in Medical Devices. The Centre is a national Centre, headquartered at NUI Galway, with 8 other partner institutes across Ireland. The aim of the Centre is to deliver the next generation of smart implantable medical device technologies, which is in line with both national research priorities and those of the participant institutions. The Centre has a requirement to secure additional non-exchequer funding sources, principally through EU funding mechanisms. The scale of awards required to be secured for CÚRAM are often multi-institutional and multi-national. Drafting and coordination of these applications, and management of these grants post-award is often beyond the scope of CÚRAM investigators and operational staff and are now frequently coordinated by external contractors. There will be an ongoing requirement from CÚRAM for these services.

Framework agreement with several operators
Envisaged maximum number of participants to the framework agreement:  20
In the case of framework agreements, provide justification for any duration exceeding 4 years:  The extended duration of the framework is justified on the grounds that CÚRAM is a six-year award programme which concludes in 2026.
