Description of the procurement

The proposed works for this Type 3 project comprise:
(a) The phased provision of Temporary Accommodation comprising; 15 Classrooms, 4 Offices/ 4 Resource Rooms, Toilets and ESB Switch Room.
Installation and lease of Temporary Accommodation on the existing grit
pitch to the east of the PE hall including associated access and raised
access paths, drainage, mains and electrical supply; to be completed
prior to works to the Senior Block (Phase 2 below
and the following phased building works:
• Phase 1 New Science Block; Construction of standalone extension including site works, re-routing of services, drainage, a rainwater harvesting system and PV panels on adjacent roof, installation of underground tanks; all required to be completed prior to works to the existing Science rooms (Phase 3).
• Phase 2 - Senior Block/ Main Central Area/ Administration block – Phased re-roofing and Refurbishment works of the existing main school building internal and external; to commence only when decant to temp. accommodation is complete
• Phase 3; Existing Science rooms/Library/ Home Economics area Refurbishment works internal and external to Incl- 3.1 Library; works to be scheduled outside of school term and/or subject to school’s agreement.
• Phase 4 - Technical Block/ PE Hall changing rooms adjoining the PE Hall. Refurbishment works internal and external to existing Incl.4.1 PE Hall; works to be scheduled outside of school term and/or subject to school’s agreement.
(b) Mechanical, electrical and fire protection upgrade.
(c) General refurbishment of toilets, flooring, doors and ceilings.
