In summary, the Goods comprise:
The supply of Ballot Papers for Referendums and delivery of same to multiple locations in Ireland. There are currently 23 delivery locations, however the number of locations may vary over the term of the Contract. More than one referendum may be held on the same day. The largest number of referendums that have been held on one day is three in 1992, with a further one in November 1992 and this was the busiest year. The number of ballot papers at the last referendum was 3,980,000 For full requirements and specifications see Appendix 1.

Description of options:
This public procurement competition (the “Competition”) will be conducted in accordance with the open procedure under the European Union (Award of Public Authority Contracts) Regulations 2016 (Statutory Instrument 284 of 2016) (the “Regulations”). Any contract that may result from this Competition (the “Goods Contract”) will be issued for a term of 36 months (“the Term”).
The Contracting Authority reserves the right to extend the Term for a period or periods of up to 12 months with a maximum of 3 such extension or extensions on the same terms and conditions, subject to the Contracting Authority’s obligations at law.
