Description of the procurement

The EPA is establishing a multi-operator framework agreement to provide technical support for implementation of food waste prevention actions and public engagement on food waste. Central to the work on household food waste reduction is the Stop Food Waste programme and activities to extend its reach to interact with a large part of the Irish population regularly.
Organisations successfully tendering for this work will demonstrate expertise and experience across a number of the following areas:
• influencing behaviour change in large-scale public audiences;
• design and implementation of interventions on waste prevention;
• design and implementation of high-profile online campaigns with proven success;
• monitoring and evaluation of public engagement activities;
• international best practice for food waste prevention;
• waste monitoring and characterisation;
• environmental policy & legislation, particularly in relation to food waste, and circular economy.
An initial contract will be for 24 months to support the delivery of Stop Food Waste, the national public facing programme on household food waste prevention, with focus on reaching a national audience.
