Short description
The Contracting Authority seeks an on-Premise Hyper Converged Infrastructure which can be integrated with Public/Private Cloud infrastructure manageable via a single management interface to replace its legacy systems
The Contracting Authority also requires an efficient and cost- effective solution for data backup, including physical and virtual machines, application aware and file level backup, and for disaster recovery for business-critical applications.
The Contracting Authority requires a Disaster Recovery solution hosted on site. The Disaster Recovery solution must cater for a range of scenarios such as the recovery of a single Virtual Machine to a catastrophic failure of the production site. The solution must facilitate the relocation of the production environment to the Disaster Recovery site.

Description of the procurement
The Contracting Authority seeks an on-Premise Hyper Converged Infrastructure which can be integrated with Public/Private Cloud infrastructure manageable via a single management interface to replace its legacy systems

The Contracting Authority requires a cost-effective solution that is flexible, scalable and will cater for future growth and business needs.
The Contracting Authority also requires an efficient and cost- effective solution for data backup, including physical and virtual machines, application aware and file level backup, and for disaster recovery for business-critical applications.
The Contracting Authority requires a Disaster Recovery solution hosted on site. The Disaster Recovery solution must cater for a range of scenarios such as the recovery of a single Virtual Machine to a catastrophic failure of the production site. The solution must facilitate the relocation of the production environment to the Disaster Recovery site in Athlone Civic Centre with minimal downtime. The Contracting Authority requires an RPO (Recovery Point Objective) of 1 hour or less and an RTO (Recovery Time Objective) of 1 hour or less for all Virtual Machines in the Disaster Recovery facility.
The Contracting Authority is operating in a dynamic environment and will have requirements to replicate additional Virtual Machines (VMs) to the DR facility, cease replication and remove VMs from DR, and modify resources on VMs which are being replicated.
The Contracting Authority requires a secure, resilient, energy efficient solution that can cater for a wide range of applications and business needs including both structured data (databases) and unstructured data (emails, documents, video, etc.).
It will be the responsibility of Tenderers to accept full responsibility for the entirety of the solution they propose. Submissions will be evaluated in accordance with designated Award Criteria and associated rules and weightings, to identify the best solution.
Price is not the only award criterion and all criteria are stated only in the procurement documents
