Iarnród Éireann (IÉ) are seeking to enter into a long-term supply agreement with specialist company[s] with a demonstrable track record in the supply of standard and bespoke engineering fasteners in a safety critical application.
Objective of Market Consultation
IÉ are seeking a market consultation to gain insight into the current market for the Supply of Fasteners available for Rolling Stock and what solutions are available. A new tender process is planned for Q1 2021 for the procurement of standard and bespoke engineering fasteners used in a safety critical environment and IÉ are seeking to engage with the market to understand what type of solutions are available, so as to assist IÉ in finding a sourcing strategy which is both cost effective and sustainable.

Description of the procurement

Introduction
Iarnród Éireann (IÉ) operate a number of diesel-powered fleets of rolling stock, for which standard and bespoke engineering fasteners are used to cover all running maintenance and heavy maintenance activities at all of its rolling stock maintenance facilities nationwide. The rolling stock maintenance facilities are located in Inchicore and Fairview (Dublin), Limerick, Cork, Drogheda and Portlaoise.
