Short description

The Immunology laboratory provides a range of indirect immunofluorescence (IIF) tests for the diagnosis and management of autoimmune conditions. This is a busy department and we provide IIF testing to patients of St James and other institutions. The service requires an automated slide processor capable of delivering a fully traceable process from pipetting samples and reagents to the capture and recording of images of the indirect immunofluoresent tests. All of the IIF tests should be fully automated on the analyser. The reagents including slides, conjugates and mounting media must meet internationally accepted standards.
