The University of Limerick operates a personal assistant (PA) service to facilitate the needs of students with disability during their college day (usually 8am to 6pm).Disability Services (DS) will identify the students who require a PA service at the beginning of the academic year and will liaise with the student and the service provide at the initial stages of the assessment process. DS will supply the service provider with timetables at the beginning of each semester for each student requiring the service. DS will inform lecturing staff that a PA will accompany the student in class. DS will identify a specific contact for the student and the service provider.
