NMI required the services of a supplier who would offer a wide range of packing, wrapping, storage, stabilisation and transport materials to conservation and archival standard. This material would be used in all aspects of museum collections care and management, include all object, artefact, specimen, archive and library collections.
Ideally this supplier would have a catalogue or website with details of all materials available to purchase which can be provided to the Contracting Authority when supplies are required.
There may be a requirement for some bespoke materials to be made to order, e.g. conservation-grade, acid-free boxes made to specific sizes.
