Short description

The Contracting Entity intends to procure a supply, implementation and support Contract for the VMWare suite of products across the ESB VMWare Estate.
All renewals of the existing subscription estate and procurement of future subscriptions will be covered by the proposed contract
It is proposed that the Contract will include:
• Support and Subscription services for ESB's existing VMWare Suite of products
• An Enterprise Purchasing Program for additional licences
• Ability to Log Support cases on a 24x7 basis
• Access to VMWare and Reseller Certified Support Staff
• Telephone and e-mail support locally
• Reseller Consultancy services as required
Applicants must confirm they are certified to supply, implement, and support VMWare licenses.
It is envisaged that the contract will be for an initial three year period with the option to extend for two years by mutual agreement, for a total contract period of five years (3 + 2 years)

Description of the procurement

ESB uses VMWare ESX Hypervisor to provide Server virtualisation in its Datacentres. ESB currently deploy 597 vSphere licenses, across 255 VMWare ESX Servers hosting over 2,500 Virtual Servers.
The Contracting Entity intends to procure a supply, implementation and support Contract for the VMWare suite of products across the ESB VMWare Estate.
