This market sounding is being conducted to solicit market feedback in order to assist Sure Partners Limited to identify potential wind turbine generator options with supporting service and maintenance requirements for the Arklow Bank Wind Park Phase II Project.
The objective of the market sounding is to gather information on:
(i) Possible market players;
(ii) Possible market solutions;
(iii) Appetite of the market to support the Arklow Bank Wind Park Phase II Project;
(iv) Potential options for the delivery and operation of a solution;
(v) Financial models that may exist.
The objectives of this Preliminary Market Consultation (PMC) are for Sure Partners Limited to
a) obtain the necessary information from the market that is required to facilitate the feasibility, refinement and development through to Invitation to Tender (ITT).
b) gather information to assist in the formulation and development of requirements for the ITT.
c) identify and understand additional Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) Supplier options, services and innovations that may be advantageous to the project.
Organisations who do not partake in the initial market soundings exercise will not be precluded from any future associated tendering process. It is emphasised that this is not a call for competition and therefore no tender documents are available.
Please note that if and when SSE initiate a tender process, the tender list will be sourced from the Achilles Supply-Line Qualification System - it is important that suppliers register their interest directly with Achilles at supply-line@achilles.com if they wish to be considered for the tender stage. Registration on Achilles should be completed by end October 2020.
Parties engaging in the process should note that any information provided will be treated in confidence. It should also be noted that responses will not be considered as an expression of interest or tender whichever approach is chosen by the authority. There will be no impact of this exercise on the participant's evaluation in any subsequent procurement process.
