Description of the procurement

This is a call to competition by IE for the procurement of the long term Supply of UPS Equipment Components (the “Contract”).
IE currently have over 800 UPS systems deployed throughout the IÉ network. These UPS systems support all Signalling and Telecommunications circuits.
As part of an on-going programme of obsolescence renewals, IÉ is currently replacing the existing UPS systems throughout its telecoms and signalling networks. Since the commencement of this obsolescence renewals programme in 2014, IÉ has run several tender processes for the supply of UPS systems and associated components. As a result of these processes, the replacement equipment that has been installed throughout the network is based on Eltek technology. In order to maintain and support the systems, there is an on-going demand for components that are interchangeable and compatible with the existing technology. It is therefore intended to establish a long term supply agreement for UPS equipment components.
A maintenance regime and a centralised Network Management System have been established on the basis of the Eltek equipment. Components must therefore be similar or equivalent to what is currently installed. If a candidate can demonstrate that it has the capability to provide an alternative component type which is proven to be compatible with the Eltek system and will interface seamlessly with the other Eltek system components then this may be considered by IÉ.
Interested applications must download , complete and return the pre-qualification questionnaire in accordance with the instructions provided
