Donegal County Council (DCC) and Derry City & Strabane District Council (DCSDC) have been awarded €6,000,433 excluding VAT and professional fees, by the SEUPB PEACE IV Shared Space & Services Programme to develop the Riverine Community Park in Lifford, Co. Donegal, Republic of Ireland and Strabane, Co. Tyrone, Northern Ireland. The Project aims to address the impact of the conflict in the Lifford and Strabane area, and its hinterlands, by regenerating the border riverside area to create an iconic cross-border community park straddling the River Foyle as a shared space to bring communities together from both sides of the border, to re-connect and form new, long lasting connections and relationships.
