Short description

The design and specifications for the Trade Plates are contained in Appendix 1 of the RFT documentation. Trade Plates are ordered from Motor Tax Offices by garages who wish to demonstrate, test etc., cars without paying motor tax on the vehicle. It is estimated that approximately 3970 sets of Trade Plates will be required each year for delivery to 26 Motor Tax Offices throughout Ireland. The order is made by the Motor Tax Office to the supplier early to mid September each year. The Trade Plates are required to be delivered to each Motor Tax Office early December each year. The general location of the Motor Tax Offices is contained in the RFT documentation.
