Short description

The Cancer Molecular Diagnostics laboratory provides a range of molecular diagnostic tests for the diagnosis and management of haematological and solid malignancies. Currently this testing is conducted using standard PCR, real-time PCR and Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) based diagnostics. The laboratory is seeking to increase the number and repertoire of tests available to our clinical service users and to meet this demand will be focusing on developing and expanding our NGS based diagnostic assays. To facilitate this growth, the laboratory is seeking an NGS instrument with the capacity to process both small targeted gene single molecule molecular inversion probe (smMIP) based panels and larger pan-cancer (>500-gene) panels which will be performed on both tumour and paired normal material

Bioinformatic and library preparation solutions are not included in this tender.
