ESB is examining the potential to offer for sale power plant equipment that is no longer in use.
The equipment for sale includes;
• gas turbines,
• gas turbine spares (unused)
• fuel handling plant for solid fuels,
• gas fired boiler,
• solid fuel boilers,
• condensing steam turbines,
• generators,
• transformers,
• associated equipment with above
• other associated spare parts for above (unused)
Equipment is suitable for power plant outputs in the range 85 to 270 MW electrical.
Interested parties should note that this selection process is not governed by the provisions of Directive 2004/18/EC or Directive 2004/17/EC (or the Irish regulations transposing those Directives) and ESB does not intend to follow the procedures or rules set out in those Directives/Regulations in this selection process.
