Short description

The Opera Site is a 3.7 acre site located in Limerick City between Rutland Street, Patrick Street, Ellen Street, Michael Street and Bank Place. This demolition and enabling works package includes installation of hoarding, site clearance, temporary works, building demolition, surface water management, engagement with local utilities for water, gas and electricity while ensuring that both the conservation buildings on the site and the ecology of the site is protected.

Description of the procurement

This procurement process, for a Design & Build Contractor (PW-CF4 - Public Works Contract for Civil Engineering Works designed by the Contractor), is a single stage open tender procedure, without novation of the designers. Tenderers are required to propose an Asbestos Removal Specialist as part of the Suitability Assessment Questionnaire (SAQ), using the QW3 Form provided. Tenderers are required to retain specialist consultant services for the positions identified within Section 3.4a and 3.4c of the SAQ QW2 Form. The specialist consultant services are;
• Conservation Architect – Grade 2,
• Archaeological Consultant,
• Chartered Temporary Works Design Engineer,
• Chartered Civil Design Engineer, and
• Chartered Electrical Design Engineer.
