Description of the procurement
This is a call to competition by Iarnród Éireann (IE) to establish a Qualification System to supply and delivery bridge hydraulic assessment services throughout the rail network over a three year period (the “Contract”)
IE invites applications to participate in the pre-qualification process to appoint suitably qualified companies to a qualification system for the supply of hydrology services for assessing the susceptibility of railway bridge structures and other structures that are adjacent to watercourses.
Those companies successfully appointed to the Qualification System will receive all future tender enquiries.
Companies will be required to provide expertise in hydrology in the following areas:
Flood Relief Schemes
Railway Bridge Scour Susceptibility Assessment for 500 bridges, include for Risk Assessment and Risk Mitigation prioritised list of 605 structures.
Provision of General Expertise in Hydrology associated with Irish Rail or CIE properties.
The work on the railway bridges over water involves taking the reports prepared by the underwater inspection teams and the other investigation works and making a determination of scour susceptibility or providing advice on further investigation.
The Qualification System the subject of this competition is valid for 36 months
