Description of the procurement

This is a call to competition by Iarnród Éireann (IE) for the procurement of invasive plant species treatment and control services
IE invites applications to participate in the pre-qualification process to appoint suitably qualified companies to a qualification system for the treatment and control of various type of invasive plant species, at ad-hoc locations throughout the IE Rail Network,that may arise on an ad-hoc basis.
Those companies successfully appointed to the Qualification System will receive all future tender enquiries.
Invasive plant Species would include Japanese Knotweed and Giant Hogweed
Background Information:
IE will have ad-hoc invasive plant infestations such as Japanese Knotweed infestations, that will require a treatment plan (application method and number of treatments) for each infestation.
IE will require the expertise of an experienced company to carry out the treatment plan.
The company would provide all necessary equipment and expertise to undertake these works in a safe manner. For example if traffic management, MEWP or boat access is required it will be the contractors’ responsibility to provide these items.
IE would supply all track protection arrangements and personnel
A PRE-QUALIFICATION QUESTIONNAIRE IS ATTACHED TO THIS NOTICE AND MUST BE COMPLETED AND RETURNED AS DIRECTED ALONG WITH ALL REQUIRED SUPPORT DOCUMENTATION.
