Tallaght University Hospital (TUH) intends to invite tenderers to make a submission from organisations with expertise and capability relating to the Provision, Manufacture, Supply, Placement/Installation, Commissioning and Maintenance and for 4 - Glove Unidirectional Pharmaceutical Isolators for the Pharmacy Aseptic Compounding Unit (ACU) at the specific TUH location. The urgent immediate requirement is for the provision of a total quantity four.
The overall objective of this Tendering process is to identify a suitable equipment replacement to satisfy the technical needs and requirements of the TUH in line with the Hospital’s specifications as per the published suite of Tender documents. To ensure the space allocated for this development is adequate the supplier of the isolators needs to be urgently identified.

Description of the procurement

Tallaght University Hospital (TUH) intends to invite tenderers to make a submission from organisations with expertise and capability relating to the Provision, Manufacture, Supply, Placement/Installation, Commissioning and Maintenance and for 4 - Glove Unidirectional Pharmaceutical Isolators for the Pharmacy Aseptic Compounding Unit (ACU) at the specific TUH location.
The procurement process is being undertaken by Tallaght University Hospital (TUH). The AMNCH (TUH) is the Contracting Authority (CA). The scope of the requirement is for the Provision, Manufacture, Supply, Placement/Installation, Commissioning and Maintenance and for 4 - Glove Unidirectional Pharmaceutical Isolators for the Pharmacy Aseptic Compounding Unit (ACU) at the TUH location.
The urgent immediate requirement is for the provision of a total quantity of four outlined as follows:
• Three x 4–Glove Unidirectional Negative Pressure Isolators with 2 Type D transfer hatches; and
• One x 4-Glove Unidirectional Positive Pressure Isolators with 2 Type D transfer hatches.

Justification:  
The urgent immediate requirement for a total quantity of four equipment items is required:
• Three x 4-Glove Unidirectional Negative Pressure Isolators with 2 Type D transfer hatches; and
• One x 4-Glove Unidirectional Positive Pressure Isolators with 2 Type D transfer hatches.
immediate quantity of four x (4) (Four Glove) Unidirectional Pharmaceutical Isolators for the Pharmacy Aseptic Compounding Unit (ACU) at the Hospital (TUH). The current pharmacy isolators were supplied in 2009, are approaching end of life, and could fail at any time. The manufacturer of these isolators is no longer in the market place resulting in difficulty in sourcing parts and expertise to maintain these isolators. They are failing to meet standards, and deviations are proving difficult to manage and can lead to downtime. To ensure the space allocated for this development is adequate the supplier of the isolators needs to be urgently identified.
