Short description

Tipperary County Council and Bulmers have joined resources to develop a visitor centre at the former Bulmers site at Dowd’s lane which is located in the centre of Clonmel town.
We are looking for a design team with experience in the development of creative spaces such as museums, cultural centres and other visitor attractions. The product has to be iconic, ambitious, interactive and most of all it has to attract visitors to the town.
The site is centrally located in Clonmel town and will be home to a new world class visitor experience. Commercial cider production was started by local man William Magner and Dowd’s Lane was the original location of this enterprise. The design team will be responsible for the development of this new visitor centre from conception to handover.

Description of the procurement

The consultant shall nominate a Project lead, this person will be responsible for project management of the development and integration of a creative and technical design team.
The consultant shall provide a creative design team to develop the world class visitor destination from conception including brand development.
The consultant shall provide a technical design team to develop preliminary designs, detailed designs, secure statutory consents, manage Health and Safety provide cost estimates and certify designs.
