IE require a proven rail corrosion protection system (and associated touch up kits etc.) for rails in tunnels, level crossings and coastal areas.
The proposed system must:
1. Offer an effective corrosion protection barrier, approved for use on an EU highspeed mainline railway undertaking.
2. Offer stray current protection - suitable for use in DC traction current areas
3. Be damage resistant & offer sacrificial protection where damage occurs
4. Be suitable for application on rails of any section or grade - Rail will generally be provided free issue by Irish Rail in 18m lengths
5. Be applied up to the underside of the rail head and to within 200mm from the end of each rail
This will be a fixed price three year agreement.

A PRE-QUALIFICATION QUESTIONNAIRE IS ATTACHED TO THIS NOTICE AND MUST BE COMPLETED AS DIRECTED AND UPLOADED ONTO ETENDERS WITH ALL REQUIRED SUPPORT DOCUMENTATION ON OR BEFORE THE STATED DEADLINE FOR COMPLETED RESPONSES.
