Short description

The N5 Ballaghaderreen to Scramoge Road Project comprises the construction of a new national primary road (approx. 34km long) and all ancillary works.
The project commences at the tie-in with the N5 Ballaghaderreen Bypass, passing south of Frenchpark, north of Bellanagare, north of Tulsk, before crossing the N61 National Secondary Road and turning south to pass to the east of Strokestown and rejoin the N5 at Scramoge.
The Detailed Topographical Survey Contract includes establishment of control, undertaking a topographical survey and production of a digital terrain model. The survey will provide digital survey data including points, breaklines, contours and ground model.
The Detailed Topographical Survey will be provided to the design and build tenderers to develop their detailed design and to faciliate the construction of the project.

Description of the procurement

Roscommon County Council in partnership with Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII) is carrying out the procurement, construction and implementation phases of the N5 Ballaghaderreen to Scramoge Road Project. The N5 Ballaghaderreen to Scramoge Road Project comprises the construction of a new national primary road (approx. 34km long) and all ancillary works.
