Short description
The Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine are undertaking a pre-qualification process to assess the suitability of prospective tenderers for the main construction and dredging contract relating to the Smooth Point Pier Extension Project in Killybegs Fishery Harbour Centre, Co. Donegal.
This project is part supported by the Irish government and the European Maritime & Fisheries Fund as part of the EMFF Operational Programme for 2014-2020.

Description of the procurement
The works contract is to provide an additional 120m of deep water quay at Killybegs Fishery Harbour Centre, Co. Donegal, Ireland and entails the following works:-
Dredging and disposal at sea of circa 93,000m3 of silts and gravels at a location in Donegal Bay
The dredging of circa 16,000m3 of rock and stockpilling within the F.H.C
Construction of new combi-wall & other associated civil engineering works.
Cathodic Protection
Fendering.
High Mast Lighting.
Reinforced Concrete piled relieving slab
