The National Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics Service for Solid Organ Transplantation at Beaumont Hospital (‘NHISSOT’) provides a HLA typing and antibody screening service for the five solid organ transplant programmes in the Republic of Ireland. At any given time, the service has approximately 650 patients on waiting lists. The service also performs a post-transplant HLA antibody monitoring service. The Contracting Authority intends to establish a multi-party framework agreement for the supply of single antigen solid phase HLA antibody screening kits.

In accordance with Article 27.3 of Directive 2014/24/EU, the Contracting Authority is availing of shortened timescales in respect of this competition. The urgency associated with this requirement arises from the fact that the required products will be used in an acute hospital setting. On grounds of patient care, time is of the essence in respect of this competition.
