Short description
Waterford Institute of Technology (WIT) is seeking to purchase a benchtop scanning electron microscope to support research and industry engagement at the Pharmaceutical and Molecular Biotechnology Research Centre (PMBRC) at WIT.
A benchtop scanning electron microscope with a low equipment footprint, capable of high resolution magnifications of at least 100k X. Capable of holding samples of at least 25 mm in size. The SEM must include an Energy Dispersive X-Ray Spectrometer (EDS or EDX) analysis capability for elemental mapping.
The SEM system should be flexible and allow for purchase of additional functionality (hardware and software) at a later date to keep up-to-date with developments in the field.
