Description of the procurement
The Council is a Housing Authority under the Housing Acts, 1966-2014.
As a Housing Authority, the Council provide Housing Services under the provisions of the Housing Legislation. As part of this function the Housing Authority have constructed or acquired a significant housing stock. The Council intend carrying out repairs, retrofit, refurbishment and remodelling to certain of its vacant housing stock at various locations around the city and county which are in a significant state of dereliction. In order to undertake these works the Housing Authority urgently requires the undertaking of the: survey, design, specification, procurement, contract administration and certification of these works.
Project Management and Quantity Surveying Services will be undertaken by Tom McNamara & Partners.
The Successful Tenderer will be engaged to carry out this exercise in relation to 30 units (Bundle 1) for delivery within a defined programme as part of the first phase of the project and may be engaged to carry out further units thereafter. The Council makes no guarantee of the number of units that will be awarded to the successful tenderer.The Successful Tenderer will also be required to manage the overall delivery of all specified design services for the project. As part of this role, the successful tenderer will be required to lead the preparation of the design team tender documents (including the provision of all required technical documents) for the procurement of Works contractors to carry out the necessary works.
The Successful Tenderer will be responsible for all five stages identified in the Standard Conditions of Engagement for Consultancy Services (Technical) COE1 v2g. Further details in relation to the specific duties that the successful tenderer will be responsible for are set out in Appendix 1.
Price is not the only award criterion and all criteria are stated only in the procurement documents
