Description of the procurement

Electricity Supply Board (ESB) proposes procuring a turnkey (EPC) contract for the delivery of a 220 kV GIS Network Substation. The proposed enquiry will include but is not limited to the design, construction, testing and commissioning of all civil and structural works, primary/secondary equipment and auxiliary services required for a functioning GIS Substation. The key features of the project are a 220 kV GIS building, 220 kV double busbar GIS, 3150 A rating consisting of 18 no. bays & substation control system and protection systems. It is envisaged at the time of issuing this notice that there will be optional inclusion in the Project for the contractor to install two (2) 220 kV cable circuits from line/cable interfaces to the 220 kV GIS Substation and to install three (3) 220 kV cable circuits from 220 kV GIS Substation to third party transformers.
Interested Applicants are further referred to Section A.1.1 of the PQQ for a general description of the proposed contract.
Without prejudice to ESB’s rights as set out herein and in the pre-qualification questionnaire, please note that ESB has not yet received final approval for this project and therefore may be obliged to cancel this procurement process.
