Description of the procurement

SEAI invites tenders from service providers to work with SEAI on a Proof of Concept (POC) to provide integrated energy meter connected network and data management system, with associated services. The Support Scheme for Renewable Heat is a Government funded initiative managed by SEAI, designed to increase the energy generated from renewable sources in the heat sector. SEAI is currently engaged in the Support Scheme for Renewable Heat, this will see an extensive roll out of energy meters as part of both the grant and operational support (tariff) models. The meter details will form a central component in the operational support model to calculate and make tariff payments.
These energy readings across both models will form critical knowledge to support state incentives and policy direction over the next 15 to 20 years. The intent is that the installed meters will be read using automatic meter reading connectivity technology that guarantees a high level of service and reliability over a connected network and presented in a secure cloud-based Data Management System.
