Iarnród Éireann (IÉ) invites applications from suitably qualified companies to participate in the Pre-Qualification process for the proposed tender for the Static Line Side Traction Gel Applicators.
IE intend to enter into a three year fixed price agreement with the option to extend for up to two additional years.

A Pre-Qualification Questionnaire is attached to this notice and must be fully completed and submitted for review and evaluation against the stated evaluation criteria.

Description of the procurement

Iarnród Éireann (IÉ) invites applications from suitably qualified companies to participate in the Pre-Qualification process for the proposed tender for the Static Line Side Traction Gel Applicators.
The units required must
• Be DC capable (supplied with solar panels),
• Have traction gel application via a peristaltic pumping device
• Have a minimum reservoir of 70 litres.
• Be suitable for mounting on flatbottom 54kg, 60kg, UIC33 & bullhead rails, without the requirement for rail drilling.
• Be secure, lockable, vandal proof and weatherproof
• Have documented approval for use with Lawrence U5 traction gel or Alleviate traction gel
The respondent must provide confirmation that the above minimum specification can be met & details of the particular units proposed must also be supplied (including dimensional details).
The respondent must also provide details of previous supply experience (to an EU Rail Operating Authority) of units which conform to the minimum specification. An “Approval for Use” certificate must be included, for at least one European high speed rail network (>200kmph), detailing the type of unit approved, the date of approval and any other supporting documentation. This certificate should be in the English language.
