An expanded facility to accommodate a doubling in size of Tyndall over the next ten years is required to meet Tyndall’s future needs.This new facility will initially require a building of c16,000 m2
The Team will be required to provide the full range of consultancy services for the delivery of the Contract including but not limited to the following.
1. Architectural Services (including DAC & Planning)
2. Civil/Structural & Fire Engineering Services
3. Mechanical /Electrical & Process Engineering Services
4. Project Supervisor Design Process (PSDP)
5. Quantity Surveying Services

Description of the procurement

University College Cork hereby issues this information in accordance with Directive 2004/18/EC using Restricted Procedure for applicants and is inviting expressions of interest to provide the full range of consultancy services in a single Architect led design team for New Facility at Tyndall National Institute
The Tyndall expansion is based on the express requirement of Government to upgrade and expand the Institute’s world-leading capabilities and expertise in cutting edge, state-of-the-art research. This has been explicitly referenced in the Governments Project 2040, National Development Plan 2018-2027 as well as within the subsequent DBEI document Investing in Business, Enterprise and Innovation 2018-2027. This investment will position Tyndall as an international leader of scale in translational research in order to play a key role in the further development of ICT innovation and impact in Ireland.

The construction consultancy services required to carry out the Contract will be procured on the basis of an Architect led single design team appointment.
