Explanation
The Contracting Authority requires additional supplies from the original supplier, Hamilton Life Science Robotics, which are complimentary to existing automated instruments for sample purification and assay set up prior to quantification, amplification and sequencing of DNA for crime scene samples. A change of supplier would oblige the Contracting Authority to acquire supplies having different technical characteristics, which would result in disproportionate technical difficulties in operation and maintenance, in particular with regard to integration into, and maintaining stability in, existing operating environments and systems.
