Description of the procurement
Iarnród Éireann (IÉ) is seeking specialist seat trimming services to fulfil its requirement to re-upholster passenger seating on the IE Intercity Railcar fleet. The IE Intercity Railcar fleet comprises of 15,500 seats with each seat comprising of an individual seat back and base. IE are seeking real leather solutions only. The finished re-upholstered seats will be required to include a fire barrier so that that complete seat maintains compliance with BS6853 CAT1B. The contract will require a turn key solution to include the sourcing of leather hides and fire barrier material to the IE technical specification, the provision of seat trimming services and the logistics required to collect and return sets of seats to IE.
