Short description

Iarnród Éireann are seeking expressions of interest from specialist engineering companies to participate in a tender process for the supply of track mounted automatic rolling stock wheel profile measurement equipment.
The equipment will be capable of accessing the condition of each wheel (i.e. wheel diameter gauging, flange gauging, hollow wear gauging etc.) on vehicles in real time operation and will be capable of notifying relevant maintenance staff when these wheels are entering a degraded state. The data generated will also be capable of being used to assist in the planning of maintenance activities such as wheel turning and bogie changes.
The successful tenderer will also be required to supply all preventative maintenance, emergency breakdown support and annual calibration services.
