Iarnród Éireann currently operate a fleet of self-propelled On Track Machines (OTM’s). They are looking for a suitably qualified company to supply a rescue cradle(s) that will facilitate the recovery of an OTM in the event of an axle seizing on one of its fleet of OTM’s.
Applicants interested in participating in the procurement process are required to complete and return the Pre-Qualification Questionnaire (PQQ) which is appended to this notice.

Description of the procurement

Iarnród Éireann currently operate a fleet of self-propelled On Track Machines (OTM’s). They are looking for a suitably qualified company to supply a rescue cradle(s) that will facilitate the recovery of an OTM in the event of an axle seizing on one of its fleet OTM's.
The cradle should (please refer to the Pre-Qualification Questionnaire for further information):-
• Be of solid construction
• Be capable of being placed under the required wheelset taking into account of existing equipment (e.g. motors, pumps, trolleys etc.)
• Allow the vehicle to be hauled once the cradle is installed.
• Should be designed to work with single axle and bogied vehicles
• Be capable of handling wheel sizes from 680mm – 920mm
• Withstand a maximum axle load of 20T
• Be easily transportable
• Wheels and axles should conform to CME-TMS-301
• The cradle should not infringe the gauge shown in figure 1.
• Welding should conform to EN15085
• All relevant certification should be provided to show that the cradle is capable of withstanding the loads specified.
• The design should be such that it will not interfere with axle counters (min wheel size of 300mm)
