Iarnrod Eireann is seeking to procure a Traffic Management System and Train Control Equipment for it’s proposed new National Train Control Centre (NTCC).
The scope of this tender will include:
1. The Design, Supply, Installation and Commissioning of a fully integrated Traffic Management System and Control Equipment (TMS Supply Contract)
2. A Maintenance Agreement for the technical support of the Traffic Management System (Maintenance Support Services Contract). The duration of this agreement will be for a period of up to 20 years.

Description of the procurement

Iarnrod Eireann is seeking to procure a Traffic Management System and Train Control Equipment for it’s proposed new National Train Control Centre (NTCC).
The scope of this tender will include:
1. The Design, Supply, Installation and Commissioning of a fully integrated Traffic Management System and Control Equipment (TMS Supply Contract)
2. A Maintenance Agreement for the technical support of the Traffic Management System (Maintenance Support Services Contract). The duration of this agreement will be for a period of up to 20 years.
The scope of the tender will also include the option to provide a back up facility, which may provide partial functionality of all mission critical activities.
Additional information regarding the NTCC Project and the specific TMS requirements are set out in the the Pre-Qualification Questionnaire attached to this Contract Notice.
Interested candidates are required to download, complete and return the Pre-Qualification Questionnaire in strict accordance with the instructions provided.

The scope of the tender will also include the option to provide a back up facility, whereby the Traffic Management System shall enable control of the IE network from an alternative location using duplicate control system equipment. It is envisaged that any such back up facility will provide identical network coverage to the primary system although the available functionality may be less than that in the primary NTCC.
