Short description

The Department of Clinical Neurophysiology at Beaumont Hospital requires the provision of two portable electromyography and nerve condition study (EMG/NCS) systems. The provided systems must integrate with the current workflow and existing equipment installed in the department (Dantec and Keypoint) and the Contracting Authority’s existing IT infrastructure. In first instance, a managed equipment service contract of five years’ duration will be entered into with the successful tenderer, encompassing the provision of the required equipment, the delivery of initial and ongoing training and the provision of all required support and maintenance.

Description of options:
The initial requirement to be fulfilled under this contract encompasses the provision of two portable EMG/NCS systems. However, as additional options, the Contracting Authority shall also have the right to procure any other EMG/NCS systems required, at any point during the initial five year term of the contract. Such optional purchases may be made either on the basis of a managed equipment service model, or by capital purchase, depending upon the availability of funding.

Additional information

The planned purchase does not constitute a lease agreement. Ownership of the required equipment will remain with the successful tenderer at all points during both the initial five year contract term and any subsequent extension. The planned purchase therefore takes the form of a rental agreement.
