Iarnród Éireann (IÉ) is seeking to enter into a long term fixed price agreement for the supply of operatives experienced in ultrasonic rail testing.
The ultrasonic testing operatives are required to undertake non-destructive testing of rail on the IÉ network.
The contract will be 3 years in duration with the option to extend for 1 additional year.
IÉ will also require the ultrasonic testing operatives to undertake the testing of thermit weld and arc weld repairs prior to the hand back of track.
A PRE-QUALIFICATION QUESTIONNAIRE IS ATTACHED.

Description of the procurement

Iarnród Éireann (IÉ) is seeking to enter into a long term fixed price agreement for the supply of operatives experienced in ultrasonic rail testing.
The ultrasonic testing operatives are required to undertake non-destructive testing of rail on the IÉ network.
Between 2 and 4 operatives will be required depending on workload.
The contract will be three years in duration with the option to extend for one additional year at IE’s discretion.
It is an anticipated that the operatives will be required for two 12-week blocks each year to facilitate the verification of ultrasonic defects following the testing campaign. These 12-week blocks are typically during the spring and during the autumn of each year with IÉ reserving the right to shorten or extend this period as required.
IÉ will also require the ultrasonic testing operatives to undertake the testing of thermit weld and arc weld repairs prior to the handback of track.
The ultrasonic testing operatives shall be required to work at all locations throughout the IÉ network. Operatives will work a 48 hour week.
The working roster will require day work and night work and will be on a 5 over 7 arrangement; i.e. weekend working will be part of normal rostering arrangements
All operatives must have a current qualification to ASNT L2 or PCN L2..
A PRE-QUALIFICATION QUESTIONNAIRE IS ATTACHED TO THIS NOTICE AND MUST BE COMPLETED AND RETURNED AS DIRECTED.
